Polaris Bank Collaborates with NYSC, Nerdzfactory for DigiCorper Programme, Enabling Graduates with Digital Skills

Polaris Bank and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have announced the successful conclusion of the Digicorper Programme.

This intensive digital capacity-building initiative, held virtually, which aimed to empower NYSC members serving across 12 states with crucial digital skills needed to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. recently celebrated its graduation ceremony.

The six-month training program, which began in November 2022, focused on equipping fresh graduates with the necessary skills for future success.

Through a strategic partnership between Polaris Bank, NYSC, and Nerdzfactory, the facilitating firm, participants had access to a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance their digital knowledge and capabilities.

The practical training provided in-demand tech and digital skills to help the graduates excel in their careers and businesses during and after their service years.

Managing Director/CEO of Polaris Bank, Adekunle Sonola, expressed his admiration for the remarkable achievements, dedication, and hard work of the Digicorper Programme graduates during the graduation ceremony.

He emphasized the bank’s commitment to being Nigeria’s leading digitally-focused retail bank and the importance of fostering a community that believes in digital advancement to strengthen society’s capacity to leverage opportunities in the digital era.

Sonola congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and highlighted Polaris Bank’s significant contribution to society, ensuring continued value for its customers.

He encouraged the graduates to stay true to the core values that guided them throughout the training, urging them to remain focused, hungry for knowledge, and adaptable in the face of uncertainty.

Madam Osijuwa, a representative of the NYSC’s Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, commended the Digicorper Programme for providing corps members with a unique opportunity to acquire essential tech and digital skills. She emphasized the value of the training in equipping participants with the necessary tools to succeed in their careers and businesses.

Expressing her gratitude, Akpokiro Ejiroghene, said, “I want to extend my sincere appreciation to our sponsors – Polaris Bank, Nerdzfactory, NYSC, and everyone who contributed to this remarkable achievement. It was a great privilege to be part of this program.”

Dipo, a graduate from Digicorper, enthusiastically shared his experience, highlighting how he gained invaluable knowledge and successfully applied his newly acquired skills, ultimately leading him to secure a job.
