Former Anambra State Governor and Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, visited the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Enugu today to offer his support and prayers following a tragic gas explosion that severely injured three individuals. The explosion occurred a few days ago at the home of one of Obi’s supporters, identified as @Uptownoflagos, resulting in the victims suffering from severe third-degree burns.
Obi, who expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, spent time with the victims, their families, and medical staff, offering words of comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences and shared his thoughts and prayers for the complete recovery of the injured, as well as for strength and healing for their loved ones.
In his remarks, Obi emphasized the need for improved safety measures and better healthcare in the country, stressing that such tragic events underscore the urgency of prioritizing these aspects. He reiterated his commitment to working towards a nation where the welfare and well-being of citizens are given the highest attention.
Obi also called for national unity and mutual support, urging all Nigerians to stand together in times of crisis. He further prayed for the victims’ swift recovery and that God grants them the strength to overcome the challenges they face.
The victims, who are currently receiving medical treatment, are expected to undergo intensive care as they recover from the traumatic incident.
