Peter Obi Lauds Senator Yusuf Datti On His Investiture As Chancellor of Baze University


Former Governor Peter Obi joined Senator Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed in Abuja to celebrate his investiture as the third Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Baze University. The event, which also marked the university’s 11th Convocation Ceremony, recognized Baba-Ahmed’s contributions to Nigeria’s education and healthcare sectors.

In his remarks, Obi praised Baba-Ahmed for his dedication to national development, highlighting his investments in education through the founding of Baze University in Abuja and Baba-Ahmed University in Kano. Obi commended these institutions for fostering youth education and supporting the growth of Nigeria’s educational system.

“Today, I was in Abuja to honour the invitation of my dear brother, Sen Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, on his investiture as Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Trustees of Baze University,” said Obi. “I sincerely commend my brother, Datti, on this recognition of his immeasurable and visible contributions to our national development through his investments in the critical sectors of education and healthcare.”

He extended congratulations to the new graduates, urging them to play an active role in building a productive nation. Emphasizing his vision of a “New and Productive Nigeria,” Obi expressed optimism about the nation’s future with leaders and institutions committed to progress.
