Peter Obi Attends Chimamanda Adichie’s Book Launch In London

Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, joined renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in London on Sunday for the launch of her latest novel, “Dream Count”. The event, held at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, attracted a large audience of about 3,000 attendees.

Obi, who arrived in the United Kingdom earlier that morning via Air Peace business class, noted that his visit was part of a busy schedule that included meetings with development experts in Cambridge. During these discussions, he explored possible solutions to the challenges facing Nigeria.

Returning to London later in the day, he attended Adichie’s book launch, where she engaged in a thought-provoking conversation with journalist and author Elizabeth Day. Obi described the discussion as insightful and engaging.

He emphasized that the event was more than just a literary gathering but also a reflection of Nigeria’s vast potential, highlighting the importance of investing in key areas of development such as education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.

“Coupled with my earlier discussions on turning around our struggling nation and the exhilarating performance by Chimamanda, I am convinced that with the energy and brilliance of our youth, a collective commitment, and guidance through good governance, the dream of a better Nigeria is within reach,” Obi stated.

Expressing optimism about Nigeria’s future, he reiterated his belief that all hope is not lost, affirming that “a new Nigeria is POssible.”
