Pan-African Legal Powerhouse Established As ALP NG & Co Nigeria, Africa Legal Associates (ALA) Ghana Form Strategic Alliance

In a move set to redefine legal services across Africa, ALP NG & Co Nigeria has forged a strategic alliance with Africa Legal Associates (ALA) Ghana, a renowned full-service Pan-African firm, heralding the emergence of a formidable legal powerhouse on the continent.

Founded in 2015 by Nana Adjoa Hackman and Gabby Otchere-Darko, ALA has distinguished itself for its comprehensive professional services spanning various sectors, mirroring the profile and expertise of ALP NG & Co.

The collaboration between ALP NG & Co and ALA signifies a concerted effort to solidify partnerships across Africa, amplifying the reach and capabilities of the ALP International practice group of firms across the continent.

Both ALP NG & Co and ALA share membership in the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), with Senior Partner Gabby Otchere-Darko serving as the Country Chair CWEIC Ghana and Olasupo Shasore, SAN, Senior Partner at ALP NG & Co, serving as the Country Chair CWEIC Nigeria.

In conjunction with ALP Advocates Uganda and ALP East Africa (comprising Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, and Tanzania), the ALP International Practice Group aims to leverage collective strengths to deliver comprehensive legal services and resources across West and East Africa. This strategic alliance is poised to establish a robust legal and professional solutions footprint across the continent, while championing the objectives of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA).

In a joint communique issued on Monday, April 22, 2024, the alliance affirmed its commitment to serving clients on a continentally connected professional legal services platform with an expanded global reach. This alliance represents a significant milestone in the evolution of legal services in Africa, promising enhanced expertise, resources, and support for clients navigating the complexities of the African business landscape.
