Over 1,500 Kano Residents Benefit From Fidelity Food Bank Initiative

More than 1,500 residents of Kabuga community in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State have benefited from the Fidelity Food Bank initiative, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach by Fidelity Bank Plc in partnership with Misnoory Foundation.

The initiative, which provided essential food items, was aimed at supporting the community during the holy month of Ramadan. Fidelity Bank staff actively participated in the distribution, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to social welfare.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brands and Communications at Fidelity Bank Plc, emphasized the institution’s dedication to supporting vulnerable groups through impactful initiatives.

“Social responsibility is at the heart of who we are as a bank. Our Fidelity Food Bank initiative is one of the ways we drive social welfare in our host communities. Since its launch in April 2023, we have distributed more than 150,000 food packs across the country. This outreach in Kabuga is specifically designed to support women, widows, children, and the broader community during Ramadan,” Nwagboh stated.

Founder of Misnoory Foundation, Maryam Isa Inuwa, expressed appreciation for Fidelity Bank’s role in humanitarian efforts. She noted that the foundation’s mission to alleviate poverty aligns with the bank’s objectives, highlighting Fidelity Bank as a key partner in providing aid to society’s most vulnerable members.

“Fidelity Bank is one of the major sponsors of our humanitarian outreaches. Through this collaboration, we are able to extend support to communities in need, and today, the people of Kabuga are beneficiaries of this initiative,” Inuwa said.
