Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, the election’s returning officer, has pronounced Senator Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party the victor in the race for governor of Osun State in 2022.

While Governor Adegboyega Oyetola won in 13 local government areas, Adeleke received over 403,000 votes and triumphed in 17 local government districts.

After a contentious additional vote, Adeleke had lost the 2018 race to the same rival.
