The Customs Area Controller of the FCT Area Command, Comptroller Olu Emmanuel Adebisi, and his management team hosted the Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Adeyeye Anitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, during a familiarization visit to the Command’s office complex on Airport Road, Abuja.
The Ooni of Ife, who expressed gratitude for the warm reception despite the short notice, stated that the visit was to check on one of their own and commend the Comptroller’s contributions and achievements in the Customs Service. “I am impressed with the level of success you’ve achieved and the impact you’re making for the Service,” the monarch remarked.
In his response, Comptroller Adebisi expressed appreciation for the Ooni’s visit, describing it as a morale booster. He emphasized that such visits from traditional rulers serve as encouragement for officers to continue working hard for the nation. “I hope other paramount rulers will emulate this noble act by visiting and supporting their sons and daughters in service to the country,” he added.
Before departing, the Ooni of Ife gave his royal and fatherly blessings to the Comptroller, officers, and men of the Command. He also urged them to remain diligent and committed to their statutory duties, ensuring they contribute effectively to national development.
The visit reinforced the Customs Service’s commitment to collaboration and highlighted the importance of cultural support in fostering dedication and excellence in public service.
