The Area 2 Command, Onne, has been honored with the Best in Anti-Smuggling Activities award at the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Award and Gala Night. The recognition comes as a result of the command’s outstanding efforts in intercepting arms, ammunition, and drugs, preventing them from entering the country and saving countless lives.
Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mohammed Babandede, attributed the achievement to the collective efforts of the officers and men of the command. “This award is a reflection of teamwork. I couldn’t have achieved this alone without the dedication and commitment of every officer and staff member who played a role in ensuring public health and safety,” Babandede said.
The Comptroller expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his team for their unwavering contributions toward making Nigeria safer. The award underscores the critical role played by the Onne Command in safeguarding lives and enhancing national security through proactive anti-smuggling measures.
