All roads will lead to Tolu, Ajegunle in Lagos on May 27, 2025, as the Oluwa of Iwa and Apapa Kingdom, Oba Moroofu Adekunle Amodu Tijani Oluwa, marks his second year on the throne in grand style.
The celebration is expected to be a vibrant cultural spectacle, featuring traditional music, dance, and art that reflect the rich heritage and enduring spirit of the Iwa and Apapa Kingdom. According to a press release from the palace, the anniversary is not only a time for festivities but also a moment of reflection and appreciation.
Oba Moroofu Tijani Oluwa used the occasion to commend the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and other government functionaries for their continued efforts in infrastructure development within the kingdom. The monarch expressed his dedication to supporting progressive initiatives and fostering peace and harmony among all residents of Apapa and Iwa.
“This celebration is a tribute to our heritage and our future,” Oba Tijani Oluwa said. “It also offers us an opportunity to thank our partners in progress, including the government and corporate institutions, for their contributions.”
Notably, the event will spotlight outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, including recent projects by the Nigeria Customs Service. These include the remodeling of a school, provision of educational materials, and the construction of a new health centre in the community.
The palace has extended an open invitation to traditional leaders, government officials, community members, and well-wishers to join in commemorating the milestone.
