The Executive and members of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) has honoured Public Relations Officer of NCS, Ogun 1 Area Command, Idiroko, Ogun State, Deputy Superintendent of Customs, Hammed Bukoye Oloyede for his contributions to the development of media industry in Nigeria.
Hybrid News Nigeria reported that It was a moment of honour and recognition for hard work, as the prestigious Image Maker of the Year Award was was bestowed on DSC Hammed Bukoye Oloyede.
According to CRAN President Mr. Odita Sunday, “Oloyede deserved the honour for the significant roles he is playing in the public relations department of the Nigeria Customs Service.
“Hammed Bukoye Oloyede is performing his duty effectively by projecting the good image of the Service”
“Oloyede has established a cordial relationship with the public in general, that is what earn him this recognition,” he said.
The hybrid News Nigeria reports that Deputy Superintendent of Customs, Hammed Bukoye Oloyede was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Kamaldeen Bukoye Oloyede on the 3rd of December, 1983 at Offa, Offa LGA of Kwara State.
He attended Ansar-Ud-Deen College, Offa and graduated in the year 2001. He proceeded to the prestigious University of Ilorin where he obtained his first degree in Islamic Studies.
He was enlisted into Nigeria Customs Service on the 15th of June, 2011.
After his training as a cadet, he was commissioned as an officer and was posted to Ikorodu Lighter Terminal Command, Ikorodu, Lagos State, where he started his career in the Public Relations Unit as a Deputy PRO. Subsequently, he became the PRO of the Command after some months of tutor by the then PRO.
He has served in different Commands and has attended different courses and training in Public Relations among which includes: “Public Relations training organized by NAN Bizcom Nigeria Limited in the 2012 in Lagos, Public Relations training organized by Nigeria Institute of Public Relations in the year 2013 in Asaba, Delta State, iCustoms workshop, Calabar 2014, Public Relations training organized by Global Alliance in conjunction with NIPR in the year 2015 at Abuja, Training of Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network and Nigeria Customs Service PROs, Abuja, 2020.
Oloyede was inducted as a Member of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in the year 2013 at Asaba, Delta State.
He is happily married to Mrs Saheedat Dunmininu Oloyede and he is blessed with four (4) children.
The Award was presented by HRM Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi (Oluwo of Iwu) Telu 1, at the 30th Edition of the Annual Lecture/Award Ceremony of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), which was held on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Sheraton Hotel and Towers, along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
Oloyede, who was honoured for hard work and commitments to official duties, expressed great pleasure to the Association and the Customs Management Team, for finding him worthy of such great recognition.
The theme of this year celebration was “Proliferation Of Drug, Bane Of Insecurity”.
The theme was carefully selected to demonstrate the contributions of Customs towards sustainable future of the world, through consideration of social, economic, health and environmental concerns while discharging their official duties.
