The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has scheduled its 2025 Annual Management Retreat for February 7th and 8th at the Conference Hall in Lokoja.
The retreat will have the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, as the Special Guest of Honour, while NIWA’s Managing Director/CEO, Bola Oyebamiji, will serve as the host.
Discussions at the retreat will focus on key areas, including the review of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for 2024 and projections for 2025, revenue performance and targets, as well as organizational effectiveness and communication strategies.
The retreat follows the 2024 Performance Bond signing retreat, during which Oyebamiji emphasized that the objective was to develop a working template to achieve President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s aspirations for inland waterways, as outlined through the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
This year’s retreat will bring together NIWA’s management and all Area Managers to assess past performance and strategize for improved efficiency in 2025.
