The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has been officially recognized as the leading Federal Government Agency in Digital Transformation.

This prestigious accolade comes from the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), a branch of the Presidency responsible for enhancing public sector performance and efficiency.

The Director General, NIMASA, Bashir Jamoh, has been nominated to receive the distinguished GovTech Trailblazers award in recognition of his exemplary leadership in driving digital innovation within the agency.

These remarkable honors were the result of a rigorous selection process initiated by the BPSR, which involved nationwide nominations and online voting.

Also, a comprehensive analysis of the performance of all government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) at the national level was conducted.

The award presentation ceremony is slated to take place in the nation’s capital in October later this year.

In response to this remarkable achievement, Dr. Bashir Jamoh expressed his delight and emphasized NIMASA’s unwavering commitment to complete digitalization of all its operations.

He stated, “This award is a pleasant surprise. We weren’t expecting it. We were just doing our job. This award will spur us to accelerate our quest to fully digitalize all NIMASA operations.”

The recognition of NIMASA as the top Federal MDA in digital transformation reflects the agency’s dedication to innovation and efficiency, aligning with the broader goals of public sector reform aimed at improving the effectiveness of government organizations.
