NIMASA Receives SERVICOM Award For Excellent Service Delivery

The Plaque contains details of the Award presented to the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) by the SERVICOM Office in Abuja. During the annual end-of-year awards/meeting of the National Council of Nodal Officers with the SERVICOM Office, held in Abuja.

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has been honored with the SERVICOM Award for excellent service delivery, recognizing its dedication to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and service standards in the maritime sector.

The award, presented at the annual end-of-year awards meeting of the National Council of Nodal Officers with the SERVICOM Office in Abuja, celebrates government agencies that demonstrate exemplary public service. NIMASA’s contributions to maritime safety, regulation, and the promotion of Nigeria’s maritime sector were key factors in receiving the recognition.

Dr. Dayo Mobereola, NIMASA’s Director General, represented by the Head of SERVICOM Unit, Hajia Rakiya Lamai, expressed gratitude to the Presidency and SERVICOM for acknowledging the agency’s efforts. He dedicated the award to the staff of NIMASA, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to the agency’s core values and vision.

“We are spurred by this award and will continue to embrace best practices in the delivery of our services. I also appreciate our indefatigable staff who consistently embody the agency’s mission and vision. Together, we will sustain and build on this momentum,” Dr. Mobereola said through his representative.

In a commendatory letter, the National Coordinator and CEO of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, praised NIMASA for its commitment to improving service delivery. She expressed hope for continued cooperation with the agency to ensure Nigerians receive quality and timely services in alignment with the goals of governance.

The award underscores NIMASA’s role as a regulatory authority committed to maritime safety, environmental protection, compliance with maritime laws, and the promotion of local shipping and professional development in the maritime sector.
