The season seven edition of Nigerian Idol started on the 6th of February and it’s been an interesting one so far.
Since the show started, there have been just two editions aired, and in the first week edition, Nigerian singers Simi, Dbanj, and Obi Asika were on hand as judges for the music reality TV contest.
The music show started with an audition, and it has been an interesting one so far. It has made viewers laugh, and these contestants have also wowed viewers and the judges with their
various vocal prowess.
The music reality TV contest is one of the biggest in the country. In 2021, the judges present on the music reality TV show were Seyi Shay, Obi Asika, and DJ
Sose.
Surprisingly, the organisers of the reality TV contest changed the judges and retained only Obi Asika to be in the season 7 edition and replaced DJ Sose and Seyi Shay with another star artiste.
Earlier during the year, singer Simi and music star Dbanj were unveiled as the newest star judges in the music contest. It is quite a happy one to see that Simi and Dbanj will bring a new life to the music contest.
As if seeing Dbanj and Simi in the music contest is not enough, the organisers of the music reality TV show did well to make Omawumi a guest celebrity judge on the show.
In the next edition of the music contest, Omawumi will be appearing as a judge on the show.
During the earlier weeks, OAP Toolz was on the show as a celebrity guest.
Omawumi’s appearance on the show will actually be a fun-a filled one as the singer has already appeared as a judge on the first edition of MTN Yello Star
in 2020. Omawumi is a star singer.
