The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) has officially confirmed the appointment of five Deputy Comptrollers-General (DCGs) and eight Assistant Comptrollers-General (ACGs) during its 59th regular meeting held at the Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters in Abuja. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun.
Newly Appointed Deputy Comptrollers-General (DCGs):
1. OO Peters- DCG /Commander Training and Doctrine Command (retired)
2. BM Jibo- DCG Enforcement Inspection & Investigation
3. BU Nwanfor- DCG Excise, Free Trade Zone & Industrial Incentives
4. SA Bomai- DCG Commander Training and Doctrine Command
5. CK Niagwan- DCG Tariff & Trade
Newly Appointed Assistant Comptrollers-General (ACGs):
1. B Imam- ACG Board
2. AAS Oloyede- ACG Trade & Tariff
3. SK Dangaldima- ACG/Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘B’
4. A Abdul Azeez- ACG/Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘D’
5. SA Yusuf- ACG Human Resource Development
6. NP Umoh- ACG Training and Doctrine Command
7. CO Obih- ACG/Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘C’
8. S Chiroma- ACG Strategic Research and Policy
These appointments were made to fill vacancies left by recently retired senior officers, with the selection process guided by principles of federal character, seniority, and merit.
Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, extended his gratitude to the retired members for their meritorious service. He congratulated the newly confirmed officers, urging them to enhance their efforts to elevate the service’s performance in revenue generation, smuggling suppression, and trade facilitation.
