    Nigeria Customs Football Team Shines In Maritime Cup 2023, Advances To Quarter-Finals

    In a sensational display of skill, the Nigeria Customs Service football team once again demonstrated their dominance in the ongoing Maritime Cup 2023. Facing off against Blueche Lomado in an unforgettable match on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in Lagos, the NCS squad showcased their prowess with an astonishing 6-1 victory, securing a spot in the quarter-finals and reaffirming their status as a football powerhouse in Nigeria.

    According to a press release issued by Superintendent of Customs Akinwale Fatoki, the Public Relations Officer of Nigerian Customs Command and Staff College, the game ignited with an astounding goal in the 15th minute by Superintendent of Customs Peter Tangulu, who later sealed the match with yet another goal.

    “The NCS team continued to exhibit their prowess, with Assistant Superintendent of Customs I Bamidele Omodara scoring a goal in the 48th minute. The momentum didn’t wane, as Assistant Superintendent of Customs II Munkiala Abubakar and SC Buhari Sani contributed goals in the 56th and 68th minutes, respectively.”

    The victory not only underscores the NCS’s football excellence but also secures their place in the Maritime Cup quarter-finals, following their earlier triumph against the Nigerian Navy with a 1-0 score on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

    The statement reveals that the NCS team is gearing up to face the underdogs, Trucks Transit Park (TTP), on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the NPA sports ground, building anticipation as they aim to extend their winning streak.

    “The quarter-finals are slated for Monday, November 6, 2023, where the NCS team will compete against the winner or runner-up of Group C, promising an intensely competitive match,” the release stated.
