New FCT Police Commissioner Pledges Intelligence-Led, Quality Policing

The newly appointed Commissioner of Police (CP) for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Wale Ajao, has vowed to implement intelligence-led and high-quality policing to enhance security in the nation’s capital.

Ajao made this commitment while officially taking over from his predecessor, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Tunji Disu, during a handover ceremony at the FCT Police Command headquarters.

Speaking at the event, Ajao assured that the command would uphold the high standards of service established by the outgoing CP.

“On behalf of the command, I want to assure you that we will not disappoint you. For the officers and men, I promise quality leadership. For residents of the FCT, I promise impact policing and intelligence-led policing,” he stated.

In his remarks, AIG Disu expressed confidence in his successor’s ability to lead effectively, emphasizing the support of the command’s management team.

“The command has been handed over to you, Commissioner of Police. I have spoken to members of the management team, and they have assured me of their full cooperation,” Disu said.

With security being a top priority in the FCT, Ajao’s leadership is expected to reinforce law enforcement efforts and maintain stability in the capital.
