NDLEA Calls For Increased Collaboration With The Military In The Fight Against Illicit Drugs Abuse


In his continuation with courtesy visits to critical stakeholders in the fight against illicit drugs abuse and trafficking in Lagos State, the State Commander NDLEA Lagos state Command, Barr. Callys O. Alumona (CN) paid a visit to the Brigade Commander, 9 Brigade Nigeria Army, Brigadier General L. D. Saraso at Ikeja Cantonment.

During the visit, the State Commander NDLEA stated that the main purpose was to appreciate the the Brigade Commander and his Management team as well as his Soldiers for the supports in re-enforcement always given to NDLEA during operations, transfer of arrested suspects with exhibits seized as well as information sharing.

Alumona also solicits for more of such collaborations to be maintained, that the illicit drug war and other crime and criminalities can not be won without joining hands together.

In his response, the Brigade Commander, Brg. Gen. L. D. Saraso stated that his doors are wide open anytime the NDLEA Commander call on him and can render such support according to his capabilities and resources available.

He equally commended the NDLEA personnels that are assigned to participates in the recent exercise “still waters” ongoing.

At the end of the deliberations, the Brigade Commander presents the commander a souvenir as a tradition to mark the visit, also the NDLEA Commander presented the General with some hand bills and NDLEA magazines containing informations about the dangers of illicit drugs.
