NCS Vows To Align Operations With Global Standards

The Nigeria Customs Service is unwavering in its pursuit of aligning operations to meet international standards, as reiterated by the Comptroller-General, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR. Addressing the 2023 Comptroller-General of Customs Conference, he emphasized their continuous drive for excellence across all endeavors.

At the conference, key dignitaries including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and representatives from various sectors convened. President Bola Tinubu, represented by the Vice President, stressed the paramount importance of data, stating, “Data is the light upon which decisions must be rooted.”

Affirming the nation’s commitment, he assured that Nigeria is steadfast in establishing a robust public service system centered on data integrity, aspiring to transform into a prime destination for stakeholders in import-export activities overseen by the Nigeria Customs Service.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu assured continued support from Lagos State to foster an enabling environment for the Service. Further discussions highlighted the NCS’s innovative, data-driven approach to public relations, emphasizing its significance in managing reputation effectively.

Wrapping up the day, a gala night celebrated the commitment to a balanced work-life dynamic, featuring activities showcasing talent and relaxation for all attendees.
