Naval Engineering Services Limited Celebrates Leadership Transition


Naval Engineering Services Limited (NESL) today, 22 October 2024, marked a significant moment in its history with the ceremonial handover of leadership from Rear Admiral Baratuaipri Iyalla to Rear Admiral Kohath Gyelpanyi Levi. The event, held at NESL’s conference hall in Moloney, Lagos, celebrated the continuation of NESL’s tradition of stable leadership and seamless transitions within the Navy’s top ranks.

Rear Admiral Iyalla, who took office on 27 February 2024, leaves a legacy of innovation and strategic advancement. During his tenure as the 6th Managing Director of NESL, he successfully forged partnerships with major commercial entities such as Regency International Overseas Limited, Infinity Paints Limited, and Prime Atlantic Global Engineering Services (PAGES). His leadership also introduced valuable training programs to the Nigerian Navy, including workshops on Painting Training, Navigating Commercial Waters, and marketing strategies.

Rear Admiral Levi, the incoming MD/CEO, commended the officers and men of NESL for their excellent performance and pledged to continue building on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor. He emphasized the importance of maintaining NESL’s standards of excellence and further enhancing its contributions to both the Navy and the commercial sector.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including senior military officers and key strategic partners:

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a commemorative group photograph, marking the beginning of Rear Admiral Levi’s leadership at NESL.
