The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, on Friday, March 14, 2025, held a graduation ceremony for participants of the Senior and Mid-Level Officers’ Entrepreneurship and Management Course 13/2025. The event marked the successful completion of an intensive training program designed to equip officers with the skills necessary to establish and manage businesses both during and after their service.
The Commandant of NAFRC, Air Vice Marshal BR Mamman, described the graduation as a significant milestone in the careers of the participants. He commended their commitment to learning and strategic thinking, emphasizing that the training had positioned them to become engines of economic growth, wealth creators, and drivers of innovation in an evolving global economy.
AVM Mamman highlighted the program’s enhanced curriculum, which included a visit to Songhai Farms in Porto Novo, Benin Republic. He noted that the exposure had broadened the participants’ knowledge in agriculture and business management, further strengthening their entrepreneurial skills. He also disclosed that NAFRC would collaborate with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to facilitate business registration for participants, ensuring a seamless transition into entrepreneurship.
Also present at the event was the Country Representative of EMPRETEC Nigeria Foundation, Mrs. Onari Duke, who congratulated the graduating officers and urged them to apply the knowledge gained during the course to enhance both their personal and professional lives.
She emphasized that the training had equipped them with essential tools to become successful entrepreneurs and effective leaders capable of driving positive change in their respective fields. She encouraged them to remain innovative, adaptable, and committed to empowering others as they step into new phases of their careers.
The Director of Training, Brigadier General AO Olatunji, commended the participants for their dedication to the program’s code of conduct and assured them that they were now better prepared to navigate the challenges of life after active service. He reiterated that the course was carefully designed to meet the evolving needs of officers transitioning into business and management roles.
The ceremony concluded with Air Vice Marshal Mamman formally conferring awards on the graduating participants. He charged them to lead with purpose, innovate with courage, and make a lasting impact on their organizations and the nation at large.
