Addressing attendees at the Annual Lecture and Award Ceremony of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) held at Sheba Event Centre in Ikeja, Lagos, Oba Oyelude acknowledged the persistent security challenges facing the country over the years. He praised the Crime Reporters Association for their consistent efforts in investigating and reporting criminal activities, which contribute significantly to public awareness and accountability.

The monarch stressed the importance of continued dedication to the profession, noting that hard work often leads to even more responsibility. “Our nation faces numerous security challenges, and I commend the Crime Reporters Association for the diligent work they have been doing in reporting and following up on criminal cases. However, remember that the reward of hard work is more work,” he stated.
