Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy Named Best Performing Ministry By PEBEC


The Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, led by Honourable Minister Mr. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, has achieved a significant milestone by being named the overall best performing ministry in the Ease of Doing Business ranking by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC).

This accolade was announced on Friday during a town hall meeting chaired by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima. The meeting was organized to receive updates on the Regulatory Reform Accelerator (RRA) report, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s eight-point agenda, which prioritizes business climate reforms.

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, the Special Adviser to the President on PEBEC and Investment, revealed the ministry’s achievement. She noted that Minister Oyetola had convened a meeting with the heads of agencies under his jurisdiction, emphasizing his goal for the ministry to excel in the rankings. “The minister deserves a special recognition and applause,” Dr. Oduwole added.

Experts have highlighted this recognition as a testament to the strategic vision and tireless efforts of Minister Oyetola in advancing Nigeria’s marine and blue economy sector.
