The Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA), Kachia, Major General John Adeyemo, has urged the graduating ratings of the Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology (NNSAT) to dedicate their skills and efforts to the advancement of Nigeria.

Major General Adeyemo made this call on Friday, December 6, 2024, during the graduation ceremony of 364 student ratings from the Quarter Armourer/Fire Control Courses 1, 2, and 3. The ceremony, held at the NNSAT Student Ratings Dining Hall, marked a significant milestone for the graduands and the institution.

In his address, Major General Adeyemo underscored the critical role of the Nigerian Navy (NN) in the country’s defence strategy, highlighting how the graduates’ technical expertise would contribute to national security.

He also stressed the importance of discipline and professionalism in applying the knowledge acquired during their training.

The Chief Host, Commandant of NNSAT, Commodore Henry Aruomaren, reiterated the institution’s commitment to equipping the Navy with operationally ready personnel.

In his welcome address, Commodore Aruomaren affirmed that the school is dedicated to meeting the technical needs of the Nigerian Navy.

The event featured several highlights, including the conferment of Quarter Armourer/Fire Control certificates to the graduands, the presentation of awards to outstanding students, and the exchange of souvenirs with distinguished guests.

Earlier, Commodore Aruomaren hosted the Commandant’s Division—a ceremonial parade showcasing the graduands’ marching skills.

Dignitaries at the occasion included Colonel Ukeni Orji, Commander of the Army Central Ammunition Depot, Agunu; Chief Route Commander Abutu Moses of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kachia; and senior officers from NNSAT and NASA.
