It is an honour to recognize her achievements with the Titans of Tech Hall of Fame award, celebrating her legacy of excellence and her unwavering commitment to advancing technology.”

Mrs. Peters’ educational journey began at St. Theresa’s College in Ibadan, followed by studies in secretarial skills and management in Lagos and Rochester, USA. After returning to Nigeria in 1978, she worked with AJ Seward, a subsidiary of UAC Nigeria, before transitioning to full-time business in 1984, initially focusing on distribution and later on the oil and gas sector.

In 1990, Mrs. Peters co-founded Alpha Technologies Limited with her husband. While her husband focused on telecom engineering and innovation, she applied her expertise in marketing and administration. Their joint efforts led to pioneering Special Numbering Services (0800 toll-free and 0700 non-toll-free) in Nigerian telecom networks, enhancing brand recognition and communication. They also developed Alpha Outbound, a service allowing businesses to use customized caller IDs, and Alpha PBX, a wireless intercom system. Their offerings include Integrated Voice Response (IVR) and audio conferencing for large groups.

A notable innovation under her leadership is the Alpha Caller App, which provides the lowest telephone rates in Nigeria at N9 per minute, with no roaming charges for international calls. The app is globally accessible and has become a popular choice for Nigerians both locally and abroad. Through Mrs. Peters’ leadership, Alpha Technologies Limited has cemented its position as a leader in advanced communication solutions, transforming how Nigerians connect and communicate.

The evening also featured the cutting of the anniversary cake and the unveiling of the much-anticipated book, “50 Most Influential ICT Innovators in Nigeria”. This book celebrates past trailblazers and acknowledges the ongoing contributions of industry leaders shaping the future of technology.
