The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has successfully rescued the four people trapped in a grey Toyota Camry with registration number KRD-822FX by a 40ft containerized truck which fell sideways at Abalti Barracks today 19th September, 2021 in an ongoing operation. This was contained in a press statement by the Head, Public Affairs-LASEMA Mr. Nosa Okunbor.
The incident which occurred along Abalti barracks inward Stadium this evening when the containerized truck developed a mechanical error, was relayed to the Agency through it’s toll free numbers 767/112 at 6:35p.m elicited the prompt response and eventual rescue of the four adults (2 males, 2 females).
Situation report emmanating from the Director General/CEO LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu on the truck accident at Abalti barracks inward Stadium has it that; “Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, a 40ft containerized truck fell sideways on a grey Toyota car.
“Four people were trapped inside the car. The quick response of the Agency’s response team culminated into the rescue of two people inside the car. Efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining two people trapped inside the car.
“The Agency’s heavy duty equipment Forklift is at the incident scene alongside LASTMA, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Police Force and FRSC. Operation ongoing.
In an Update: “The third and fourth accident victim have all been successfully recovered from inside the car alive and are presently being given Pre-Hospital care inside the ambulance.
“The Director of Operations is also present at the incident scene coordinating the rescue operations. Operation ongoing.
