The grand Patron of the POCACOV Volunteer Club, Rivers State and in Niger Delta, HRM King Ateke Tom, JP has commended the Nigeria Police Force on the efforts of its community policing initiative known as Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).
This is especially as it concerns POCACOV in My Community, POCACOV in My family and POCACOV in my School activities and aimed at enhancing participation in the community for problem solving.
HRM King Ateke Tom, JP made the commendation when he played host to the executive Members of the Rivers State POCACOV Volunteer Clubs for safer school and community in his palace at Okochiri Kingdom Okirika Rivers State.
According to King Ateke Michael Tom who also is the Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom and the Sekuro of Niger Delta, “the program POCACOV is a community driven program and drawing everybody together for problem solving in our community and requires that all hands must be on deck towards joining hands in order to make our communities safe, peaceful and secured.
“I must commend Nigeria Police Force for this wonderful community policing initiative aimed at setting things right through community involvement. I must commend POCACOV of which I am the Patron on their efforts so far and I am calling on all to join hands with the movement.”
Earlier, the Chairman of Rivers State POCACOV Volunteer Club, Amb Eke Onwuka and his executive Members had informed the Rivers Monarch that they are in his palace to felicitate with him as the grand patron of POCACOV on his 4th Coronation Anniversary, formal opening of his new palace which took place on Nov. 28 and to acquaint him with the modalities on strenghtening of modalities for POCACOV in My Family, POCACOV In my school and community for a greater society.
They appreciated his continual support to POCACOV and solicited further for his support.
Hybrid News reports that the visit also provided a platform for presentation of POCACOV sourvenirs to the host in his Palace.
