In a swift operation, joint security forces have successfully rescued six members of a media crew who were abducted while traveling from Lagos to Uyo along the Isseke-Orlu Road in Ihiala. The incident, which raised concerns about security along the route, has been met with relief following the successful recovery of the victims.
The operation was launched immediately after reports of the abduction emerged, with security personnel working diligently to secure the release of the crew members. However, operations are still ongoing to locate and rescue the seventh crew member who remains unaccounted for.
In a statement, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Anambra State Police Command, confirmed the successful rescue and assured the public that efforts are being made to ensure the safe return of all abducted individuals.
