The Anambra State Ministry of Education said the recognition of Nkechinyere Umeh by the Anambra State Government was a result of her outstanding performance in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), as declared by JAMB.

Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, the Commissioner for Education, explained that during the 2023 Policy Meeting for Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja, JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede announced that Nkechinyere Umeh achieved the highest score of 360 marks.

Also, Commissioner Chuma-Udeh revealed that an alleged fake certificate was presented by Mmesoma Ejikeme, who had been previously acclaimed as the top performer on various social media platforms. Security agents are currently investigating this matter.
