Inspector General of Police Extends Season’s Greetings, Assures Safety During Festivities

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, extends heartfelt felicitations to Nigerians on the occasion of Christmas and the upcoming New Year celebrations.

In the spirit of the festive season, the IGP has issued directives to all Commissioners of Police and Tactical Commanders across the nation to ensure the deployment of ample personnel and resources, guaranteeing the safety of citizens at various recreational and picnic centers during the holidays. These instructions were emphatically reiterated during meetings held with Tactical Commanders at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall on December 19th and later with the intelligence units of the Force on December 21st.

Furthermore, the Nigerian Police will host a Christmas Carol and Service of 9 Lessons on Friday, December 22nd, 2023, at the prestigious International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja. The event is set to welcome esteemed dignitaries including the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen George Akume; Senate President, HE Senator Godswill Akpabio; Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Geidam; Chairman Police Service Commission, Dr Solomon Arase; Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Musa, among other prominent figures.

On behalf of the entire Police Force, the Inspector General extends warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to all Nigerians.
