The Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP Echeng Echeng has ordered manhunt on armed men who allegedly attacked vigilante operatives in a burial at Ndingbu village, Nnewi.

The Operatives comprising of Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorist unit, Special forces and others are already in the area and normalcy has been restored while operation are still going on

Although no notification was given to the Police about the planned burial but information reveals that the Vigilante groups where invited. Further details received that the miscreants starting shooting sporadically to disarm the vigilante operatives

The Command while assuring that the police and other security agents are firm in providing security services in the state also urge residents of the area to help Police with information that will aid the ongoing operation.

Recall that two weeks ago gunmen suspected to be cultists stormed a burial ceremony in Ebenebe, Awka North Local Government Area of the state and slain scores of burial guests.
