Chief Akinwumi Ricketts, the Chairman of the board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Isichei Osamgbi, the former Spokesperson for NIMASA, Mr. Osagie Edward, the current Spokesperson for NIMASA, and CP Frank Mba, the former Spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, have all been admitted as fellows of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Other PR pioneers honoured include Col. Aliyu Yusuf, Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), and former Customs Spokesperson for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), DCG Wale Adeniyi.
Speaking during the inauguration and induction of Fellows at the 2022 NIPR Annual General Meeting held in Abuja, the Chairman and Board of Directors, Ricketts tasked Nigerians to be hardworking, committed and accountable while rendering Services.
Chief Ricketts who was one of the 79 newly inducted Fellows of NIPR said, “I am highly delighted because nothing beats the feelings when you reach the highest echelon of whatever Organization you’re involved in and what excites me more is when I see my colleagues who are present here too”
“It makes me so happy and feel that I’m in the right kind of place where best practitioners are assembled.
“My advice to potential fellows and Nigerians is basically to do the right thing wherever you found yourself. Work hard, be accountable, have faith and believe in God.”
