The prestigious Ikoyi Club 1938 is gearing up to host a special golf tournament in celebration of Chief Philip Asiodu’s 90th birthday. Led by the Chairman, Alhaji Tafa Zibiri-Aliu, the event promises to be a gathering of distinguished personalities, including the Captain, Mr. Tade Adekunle, and other esteemed members of the club.

Scheduled for Thursday, March 14th, 2024, at the Golf Section of the Club, the invitational tournament will bring together members, veterans, captains of industries, government leaders, and business moguls to honor Chief Asiodu’s remarkable contributions to the nation. Dr. Austin Irabor, speaking on behalf of the organizers, emphasized that the event will celebrate excellence and pay tribute to Chief Asiodu’s legacy.

As a senior member and veteran of the Ikoyi Club, Chief Asiodu has been a stalwart figure in both the club and the golf section for decades. His family, represented by Ogbueshi Peter Osamgbi, expressed profound joy at his milestone age attainment, highlighting his distinguished career as a former Federal Permanent Secretary, Secretary of Petroleum, and Chief Economic Adviser to the President.
