The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has sanctioned the deployment of two Commissioners of Police to the Lagos and Nasarawa State Police Commands with immediate effect, awaiting approval from the Police Service Commission. In adherence to the commitment to bolster community engagement and ensure inclusive policing, the IGP has tasked them with actively involving communities within their respective jurisdictions.
The appointed senior Police Officers are CP Fayoade Adegoke Mustapha, mni, to the Lagos State Command and CP Umar Shehu Nadada, mni, to the Nasarawa State Command. This strategic initiative aligns with the IGP’s continual efforts to fortify security measures and cultivate trust between law enforcement agencies and the public. The newly appointed officers bring substantial experience to their new roles and are poised to contribute significantly to the safety and welfare of residents in Lagos and Nasarawa states.
