IGP Affirms Commitment To Security For All During Ramadan


As Muslims around the world observe the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, extends warm greetings on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force to the Muslim Ummah in the country. Ramadan, a time of reflection, spiritual growth, and communal solidarity, holds great significance for millions of Muslim faithful globally.

In his message, the IGP emphasizes the Nigeria Police Force’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all citizens during this sacred period. The Police institution recognizes and respects the importance of religious practices and cultural traditions, striving to promote the principles of tolerance, understanding, and unity within Nigeria’s diverse society.

IGP Egbetokun urges the Muslim Ummah to embody the spirit of compassion, generosity, and forgiveness that defines Ramadan. Calling for unity and mutual support, he encourages the community to come together, foster harmony, and build stronger bonds of friendship and cooperation not only during Ramadan but also beyond.

Emphasizing the importance of community policing, the IGP urges Nigerians to actively support the Nigeria Police Force’s efforts in maintaining peace and order throughout the month of Ramadan.
