ICAN, Union Bank Strengthen Ties Through Courtesy Visit

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening professional ties with key financial institutions following a recent courtesy visit to Union Bank of Nigeria’s head office at Stallion Plaza, Lagos.

The visit served as a platform for productive discussions between ICAN and Union Bank representatives on potential areas of collaboration and the professional growth of ICAN members within the bank.

Leading the Union Bank delegation was the Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Oluwagbenga Adeoye FCA, alongside other key executives, including Dr. Abigail Duopama-Obomanu, Chief Compliance Officer; Mr. Ali Kadiri FCA, Head, Corporate Bank; and Mr. Victor Ikeneku FCA, Head, Business Assurance. The ICAN team was headed by its President, Chief Davidson C.S. Alaribe FCA, with Dr. Olumide Adedeji FCA, President of ICAN Lagos District, and other distinguished members in attendance.

Chief Alaribe commended Union Bank for its warm reception and stressed the significance of such engagements in upholding professional excellence and ethical standards within the accounting and finance sectors. In response, Mr. Adeoye reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to supporting initiatives that foster the professional development of accountants and ICAN members.
