Mr. Halilu made these assurances during the opening ceremony of a two-day staff training organized by the Bureau. The training, led by Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, the Director-General of BPSR, focused on the mandatory deployment of Self-Assessment Tools (SAT) for service delivery at NASENI’s Headquarters in Abuja on Monday, January 12, 2023.
Reaffirming NASENI’s dedication to its mandate, Halilu emphasized the Agency’s adherence to the NASENI 3Cs principles of Collaboration, Creation, and Commercialization. He highlighted the importance of harnessing technology, human skills, and talents to deliver significant benefits to Nigeria on multiple fronts.
Halilu underscored the significance of comprehensive self-assessment in executing NASENI’s mandate effectively. He stated, “This tool enables organizations to evaluate themselves comprehensively, gaining insights into how effectively they are meeting their goals.”
The EVC/CEO commended BPSR’s participatory focus group approach, making the SAT methodology accessible to individuals across all levels of the Public Service. He urged all participants to seize the opportunity for self-assessment and growth.
Highlighting the advantages of implementing SAT, Halilu noted that NASENI stands to identify strengths, areas for improvement, enhance professional practices, foster partnerships, and celebrate growth and achievements.
In his remarks, Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi explained that BPSR initiated SAT for the evaluation of reforms in Ministries, Agencies, and Departments (MDAs) of the Federal Government to ensure effective service delivery. Arabi emphasized the importance of SAT in planning, accountability, and managing public funds while promoting a corruption-free system.
Arabi called on NASENI to embrace SAT in all dealings, emphasizing ownership of their work for effective delivery. The Director of Information, NASENI, Segun Ayeoyenikan, e-signed the press release.
