In the early hours of today, gunmen launched an attack on Ogbaru Local Government Area (LGA), targeting various properties within the region. However, the gallant efforts of security operatives successfully repelled the attackers, preventing any loss of life.

According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Anambra State Police Command, the attackers caused significant damage to LGA properties, with some buildings sustaining serious damage during the assault. Despite the destruction, no fatalities were reported.

The swift and coordinated response from the security forces, which include joint operations by the police, army, and other security agencies, played a critical role in mitigating the impact of the attack.
