Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (“GTCO” or “the Group”) has unveiled plans for its highly anticipated 2024 GTCO Autism Program under the theme “A Spectrum of Possibilities”. This initiative aims to foster inclusivity, self-advocacy, and empowerment for individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

The theme “A Spectrum of Possibilities” underscores GTCO’s steadfast commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It acknowledges and celebrates the unique strengths, challenges, and potential of each person living with autism, promoting a society where everyone can thrive irrespective of their abilities.

The GTCO Autism Program, a flagship project of the Orange Ribbon Initiative, has emerged as a beacon of hope and a leading advocate for autism intervention across Africa. Through collaborations with local and international specialists and partner organizations, the program will feature a series of impactful activities including lectures, panel discussions, and performances showcasing the diverse talents within the autism community.

Scheduled for July 15th and 16th at the prestigious Muson Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, the program will offer families and guardians a platform to engage with experts, share experiences, and gain insights into various aspects of autism. Concurrently, free one-on-one clinic consultations will be available from July 16th to 20th at the Chapel of Light, Alausa, Ikeja.

In Ghana, the activities will commence with a workshop on July 23rd at the University of Professional Studies in Accra, followed by consultations until July 27th at the same venue.

Mr. Segun Agbaje, Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO, emphasized the program’s mission: “Everyone has something special to offer, and we are committed to helping individuals with autism achieve their full potential. By embracing autism as a strength, we empower individuals to develop skills and make meaningful contributions to society.”

He further stated, “Our goal is to build a society that values diversity, promotes inclusion, and ensures everyone can lead fulfilling lives. Through ongoing education and support, we aim to make a positive impact and create opportunities for all.”
