Isah Adamu, the Chairman of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board, has been placed on administrative leave by Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger due to irregularities in the board’s activities.

In a letter dated and signed by Ahmed Matane, Secretary to the State Government, the suspension is announced.

Mr. Matane stated that “the suspension was necessary due to several detected abnormalities in the board’s activities.”

In order to permit a thorough evaluation of the board’s operations for optimum growth, the government instructed Mr. Adamu to turn over the board’s activities to Permanent Member III on the board.
