The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, has charged students of the Senior Leadership and Staff Officers Course 3/25 at the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM) to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to excellence as they advance in their military careers.
Speaking through the Chief of Staff, Headquarters 81 Division, Brigadier General Mutiu Oloyede, during the students’ familiarization tour to the Division’s Officers’ Mess in Victoria Island, Lagos, on April 29, Major General Mijinyawa commended the students for their dedication to the rigorous course, urging them to leverage their training for professional growth and national service.
The GOC highlighted the Division’s recent operational successes, particularly in curbing drug trafficking and related crimes, attributing these achievements to effective collaboration with other security agencies. He underscored the importance of inter-agency synergy in maintaining peace and national security.
Reiterating the Division’s zero-tolerance stance on indiscipline, he urged the students to uphold the core values of the Nigerian Army—discipline, integrity, and professionalism—as they prepare for future leadership roles.
On behalf of the students and faculty, Deputy Commandant of NACOLM, Brigadier General Jeremiah Manjang, expressed gratitude to the GOC for his unwavering support. “The success we record at the College is largely thanks to the support of 81 Division,” he said, encouraging students to channel their learning into enhancing operational efficiency.
The visit featured a detailed operational briefing, interactive discussions, souvenir presentations, and group photographs, fostering a stronger bond between NACOLM and 81 Division.
