The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, has reaffirmed the Division’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with other security agencies in Lagos and Ogun states. He gave the assurance while receiving the Admiral Superintendent of Naval Dockyard Limited, Rear Admiral IE Shehu, who paid a courtesy visit to the Division’s Headquarters on Monday, May 6, 2025, at Victoria Island, Lagos.
Welcoming the visiting naval chief, Major General Mijinyawa emphasized that effective inter-agency collaboration remains critical to maintaining security, protecting lives and property, and fostering economic growth within the Division’s Area of Responsibility (AOR). The visit marked a significant step in reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two military institutions, with a shared goal of bolstering security across Lagos and Ogun states.
Key moments during the visit included the exchange of souvenirs, interactive discussions, Rear Admiral Shehu’s signing of the visitors’ book, and group photographs to commemorate the occasion.
The visit underscores a growing commitment among Nigeria’s armed forces to inter-agency cooperation as a critical tool for national security.
