As part of activities to celebrate its seventh anniversary, GASVINE Properties Limited, a leading real estate development firm in Nigeria, organized a free medical outreach that provided healthcare services to over 1,000 residents of Ajao Estate, Lagos.
The outreach, held on Asa Afarigun Street, offered free consultations, screenings, and treatment for common ailments including malaria, typhoid, cough, and body pains. The program also featured free eye screening and distribution of prescription glasses, with beneficiaries ranging from the elderly to pregnant women, children, and youths.
Speaking at the flag-off of the initiative, Group Managing Director of GASVINE Properties, Dr. Oziele Godwin, said the outreach was part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aimed at alleviating the healthcare burdens of underserved communities.
“Over 1,000 people are projected to benefit from the free medical services,” Dr. Godwin said. “The company has stocked up on medications and medical supplies to ensure that beneficiaries receive the best possible care. We know that in these difficult times, many families are struggling to feed, let alone afford proper medical treatment.”
He added that the choice of Ajao Estate as the outreach venue was strategic, given the proximity of GASVINE’s corporate office and the area’s high concentration of low- and middle-income earners. Mafoluku community was also considered in the planning due to similar demographics.
Dr. Godwin emphasized that community service has been a longstanding tradition for the company. “From inception, we’ve reached out to motherless babies’ homes and supported the less privileged. This medical outreach is another step in that same direction,” he noted.
The outreach was carried out with the support of a team of doctors and medical professionals who administered care and distributed medications at no cost. Beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude, with many visibly emotional as they received much-needed treatments and eye care services they otherwise could not afford.
Executive Director of GASVINE Properties, Mrs. Oziele Ijeoma, further highlighted the company’s vision of providing affordable housing solutions for Nigerians at home and abroad. “We believe housing is a basic necessity, and we’ve introduced flexible payment plans that make homeownership possible for everyone,” she said.
She also revealed the introduction of a Young Landlord Scheme, which allows parents to invest in real estate for their children’s future. “By the time a child graduates from university, the property could be sold to fund their next steps,” she explained, encouraging especially women to leverage the initiative for long-term family stability.
According to her, GASVINE now has 14 established estates across Nigeria, with presence in Lagos, Ogun, Anambra, Imo, Delta, Enugu, and Abuja. She urged Nigerians, regardless of location, to consider real estate as a secure and appreciating investment.
The company’s week-long anniversary celebration began with prayer and thanksgiving sessions on May 12 and 13. Community sensitization on the medical outreach was conducted on May 14 and 15, while May 16, the company’s official founding date, was marked with a mini-party for staff. The celebration wrapped up with an award night on Saturday, May 17, and a thanksgiving service at Christ Pentecostal Mission (CPM) Church, Ajao Estate, on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
With this impactful gesture, GASVINE Properties continues to reinforce its commitment to not only building homes but also supporting healthier, more resilient communities.
