FOC Western Naval Command Seeks Stronger Collaboration With Nigerian Army Corps of Supply, Transport


On February 20, 2025, the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Michael Gregory Oamen, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST), Major General AA Adeyinka, at the Corps Headquarters in Bonny Camp, Victoria Island.

During the visit, Rear Admiral Oamen highlighted the Western Naval Command’s responsibility for securing Nigeria’s western coastal and adjacent land areas. He emphasized the critical role of security agencies, including NACST, in supporting the command’s mission to safeguard national interests and promote economic prosperity.

In his response, Major General Adeyinka commended Rear Admiral Oamen for his leadership in securing the maritime domain, particularly around Nigeria’s economic hub. He assured the FOC West of the NACST’s readiness to provide logistical support and collaborate whenever needed to enhance security operations in the region.

The visit reinforced the importance of inter-agency cooperation in ensuring national security and economic stability.
