The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command and Commander Joint Task Force Operation AWATSE, Rear Admiral MB Hassan, has commended Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko, the Commandant of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS), for his remarkable innovations and leadership. The commendation was made during the recent graduation ceremony for students who completed various courses at the school.
Rear Admiral Hassan praised the significant improvements made under Brigadier General Nwoko’s command, including infrastructure upgrades, academic advancements, and enhanced staff welfare. These changes align with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy and have significantly elevated the school’s standing.
The graduating students, who completed courses such as the Young Officers Course, Counter Intelligence Officers Course, and Advanced Intelligence Operative Course, were lauded for their dedication and commitment. The final exercise, which featured simulations of modern security threats using advanced technical equipment, was particularly praised for its realistic and contemporary approach.
In his address, Brigadier General Nwoko expressed his gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Military Intelligence for their steadfast support. He emphasized the school’s ongoing mission to produce highly skilled graduates capable of excelling in joint operational environments.
The ceremony was well-attended by high-ranking military officials and representatives from various security agencies and organizations. The event featured an inspection of the quarter guard, the presentation of certificates, and the awarding of prizes to outstanding students. Notable awards included the late Brigadier General DK Zirkushu Prize for the overall best student and the late Lieutenant Colonel AK Unobe Prize for excellence in Technical Intelligence.
The graduation ceremony concluded with a celebratory lunch and group photographs, marking a significant milestone for the students and the institution.
