A fire outbreak at Ogbosisi Market on the evening of December 18, 2024, was swiftly brought under control, thanks to the prompt response of the Anambra State Police Command and Fire Service operatives. The incident, which occurred around 8:45 p.m., resulted in significant damage to goods, but no lives were lost.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the scene has been cordoned off by police operatives to prevent potential looting by hoodlums. This proactive measure aims to safeguard the properties and goods of affected individuals.
While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, the police have launched an investigation to determine its origin. Additionally, efforts are underway to ascertain the total value of goods destroyed in the blaze.
