In a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Fidelity Bank Plc has renovated the Primary Healthcare Clinic at Workers Village in the Tudun Amba Community of Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. The bank also installed water facilities to address the community’s recent water scarcity issues.
At the inauguration ceremony, Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand and Communication at Fidelity Bank, emphasized the bank’s commitment to improving living conditions in their host communities. “The dignity of every human person is a shared responsibility,” Nwagboh stated, highlighting the bank’s dedication to social responsibility and community development.
Nwagboh expressed gratitude to the community leaders for their cooperation, noting that this project aligns with Fidelity Bank’s ongoing efforts to positively impact communities nationwide. “We remain committed to helping individuals grow, thrive, and prosper,” he added.
The Honourable Commissioner of Health for Nasarawa State, Gaza Gwamna, commended Fidelity Bank for their contributions. Represented by Permanent Secretary John Damina, Gwamna praised the bank’s efforts and called on the Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency to maintain the upgraded facility. He encouraged other private sector entities to follow Fidelity Bank’s example in supporting underprivileged communities.
“I urge the management of NAPHDA to ensure proper utilization of this facility for the benefit of the host community and beyond, fostering more private sector involvement,” Damina stated.
