In a bid to enhance access to quality television services for Nigerians, the Federal Government recently unveiled Silver Lake Television (SLTV), a new pay TV platform poised to offer value for money to subscribers.

At the launch event held last Thursday, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, emphasized SLTV’s commitment to providing Nigerians with top-notch service quality and affordability. He underscored the significance of SLTV’s establishment in aligning with the aspirations of Nigerians to benefit from the abundant opportunities in the country’s economy.

Akume assured SLTV of the government’s full support as they venture into Nigeria’s broadcast industry, emphasizing the nation’s unique potential for investment and growth.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF SLTV:
OPERATOR: SLTV is operated by Metrodigital Limited, positioning itself as a home satellite TV platform poised to revolutionize the pay TV landscape in Nigeria.

COMMITMENT TO BREAKING MONOPOLY: Dr. Ifeanyi Nwafor, Managing Director of SLTV, expressed the company’s interest in Nigeria due to the government’s commitment to breaking the monopoly that had hindered the growth of pay TV in the country. This move signals a shift towards a more competitive and dynamic television market.
