FCT Police Refute Claims Of Ex-Comptroller General Parradang’s Kidnap, Murder

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has debunked reports alleging that retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, was kidnapped and murdered, clarifying the circumstances surrounding his death.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Police Public Relations Officer noted that Mr. Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel at Area 3 Junction on March 3, 2025, around noon, driving a black Mercedes Benz. He paid ₦20,000 for a one-night stay and later requested a room attendant to escort a female guest to his room. The lady reportedly left the hotel around 4:00 PM the same day.

According to the police, Mr. Parradang remained in his room after his guest’s departure. Concerned about his whereabouts, a military officer and friend of the deceased traced him to the hotel at about 4:00 AM on March 4. Upon arrival, the hotel receptionist and the officer proceeded to his room, where they found him dead, seated in a chair.

The Durumi Police Division was immediately notified, and officers arrived at the scene to secure the area, document evidence, and initiate an investigation. The body has since been transferred to the hospital for necessary procedures, while hotel staff are assisting with the ongoing investigation. The police are also working to apprehend the female guest.

The FCT Police Command urged the public and media to avoid spreading unverified information, particularly claims of kidnapping, which could incite fear and misinformation. The command assured that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Mr. Parradang’s death.
